OUR PURPOSE

The primary objective of the Greatest Generations Foundation is to offer assistance to combat veterans by undertaking battlefield repatriation programs that specifically target veterans facing substantial psychological and emotional difficulties as a result of their military service.

IN MEMORIAM


DONALD COBB, a WWII veteran, served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Murphy during the Normandy invasion. Born in 1925 in Evansville, IN, he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Evansville. He retired in 1983 from Whirlpool Corporation after 33 years of service. Cobb served as a Patron for TGGF for ten-years. Donald Cobb was 99.

IN MEMORIAM


JOE SCIDA, born in 1925 in Pennsylvania, enlisted in the US Military in 1943 and served as a Coxswain during the Normandy D-Day assault. He transported and disembarked soldiers from the First Division onto Omaha Beach. Scida found himself overcome with exhaustion on the battlefield. He was eventually sent back to England and took on the role of a postal clerk. Scida had been a faithful supporter of TGGF for a remarkable fourteen years. Joe Scida had reached the impressive age of 98.

IN MEMORIAM


LUCKY McGINTY, born in 1923, was a Philadelphia native who trained in Texas and Colorado for B-17 aircraft. During his time in the 95th Bomb Group, he bravely carried out 29 bombing missions over Germany and Poland, with four of them specifically targeting Berlin. McGinty dedicated 22 years of service as a Founding Patron of TGGF. Lucky McGinty had reached the impressive age of 100.
